We analyse your Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) security configurations and provide you with a detailed report showing your current security score, areas for improvement, and practical recommendations to strengthen your cybersecurity.

Is this assessment really free?

Yes! The checkpoint is completely free with no hidden costs or obligations. We provide this service to help Australian organisations understand their security posture and make informed decisions about improving their cybersecurity. You're under no obligation to engage our services after receiving your report.

How long does the checkpoint take?

Once you've granted permissions, our automated system collects the necessary data within 24 hours. Your detailed security report is typically ready for review within 2-3 business days. The entire process requires minimal time from your team usually just 15-20 minutes for the initial setup.

Data Collection & Privacy

What data do you collect from our systems?

We collect security configuration data and security scores only, we do not access your business documents, emails, files, or any personal information. Specifically, we collect:

Your Microsoft Secure Score metrics and trends
Security control configurations (e.g., whether multi-factor authentication is enabled)
Identity and access security settings Security recommendations from Microsoft Organisational metadata (company name, tenant ID)

We do not collect:

Email contents or metadata
User files or documents
Personal information about your staff
Business data or intellectual property
Communication histories

How do you access our data?

We use Microsoft's official security APIs (Microsoft Graph API) with read-only permissions. You grant these permissions through a secure app registration in your Microsoft tenant. This is the same method used by other trusted Microsoft partners and security tools. We use certificate-based authentication, the most secure authentication method available which means no passwords or secrets are involved.

Where is our data stored?

All your data is stored exclusively in Microsoft Azure's Australia East data centre in Sydney. Your data never leaves Australian shores, ensuring compliance with Australian data residency requirements and privacy laws. We're a Perth-based company committed to keeping Australian data in Australia.

How long do you keep our data?

Security checkpoint data (Secure Score Telemetry) is automatically deleted after 90 days. This retention period allows us to show you meaningful trends in your security posture over time. If you request deletion of your data earlier, we'll remove it immediately. After 90 days, all data is permanently and automatically purged from our systems.
